I am an educator who has taught writing at Northwestern University, Columbia College, Dominican University, North Park University, Elmhurst College and Oakton Community College.
I have presented writing workshops at Off Campus Writers Workshop and Writers Workspace. In 2007, a collection of my essays was published as “Views from the Home Office Window: On Motherhood, Family and Life” (read reviews here: http://www.ellenblumbarish.com/press.html) My articles have appeared in Newsweek, Self, the Chicago Tribune, North Shore magazine and my essays have been aired on WBEZ- Chicago Public Radio’s Eight-Forty-Eight program.
